Exhibit of Eduard Wiiralt's works in Helsinki
10.09.2009 - 10.12.2009
An exhibit of Eduard Wiiralt's graphics from the collection of Juhani Komulainen will be opened at the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki.
The works to be displayed in the exhibit were done between 1926-1934 and were probably once owned by his acquaintance Nelly Stultz. Composer Juhani Komulainen acquired the collection at a Paris auction in 2002.
Wiiralt is considered the most prominent master of Estonian graphics from the first half of the 20th century; the most known among his many works are "Põrgu", "Kabaree", "Neegripead", and "Lamav tiiger".
Guests can visit the exhibit on workdays between 9.00 and 17.00 by contacting the embassy in advance at (358 9) 622 02 60 or embassy.helsinki@mfa.ee
