Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in Helsinki

The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Olari Elts is presenting to the public a brand new accordion concert by Erkki-Sven Tüür entitled Prophesy, the premiere of which took place in autumn at NYYD Festival, the accordion solo is played by Mika Värynen. The program includes also Galanta Dances by Zoltán Kodály, which originate from the gypsy melodies of the childhood places of the composer and Igor Stravinsky's Symphony in Three Parts which was created during World War II as well as the impressive Russian Scherzo.
Recently, The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra gave a concert in Helsinki in 2004 and was also conducted by Olari Elts.
The concert at Finladia-talo is scheduled at 7 pm.
