Theatre Vanemuine in Helsinki

Theatre Vanemuine is giving guest performances in the Finnish National Opera.

On 1 November, the ballet "Peer Gynt" has been scheduled with choreography and staging by Mare Tommingas, built on the subject of Henrik Ibsen's verse drama of the same title. The music by Edvard Grieg, Claude Debussy and of the rock ensemble Savatage has been used. Lauri Sirp is conducting.

On 2 and 3 November, Puccini's opera "Tosca" is being performed. Ervin Õunapuu in co-operation with Taisto Noor has restaged Mikk Mikiver's version of 1995. In leading roles Jassi Zahharov, Pille Lill and Lithuanian opera soloist Kristian Benedikt. Mihkel Kütson is conducting.
